Being an Instructor - Educational Assessment provides tutoring and academic counseling to students, maintains classes related records, and assesses student coursework. Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Instructor - Educational Assessment typically reports to a department head. Has a Master's degree or is a PhD candidate in the applicable field. Has experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate level and possesses the qualifications to participate in research.     Position Summary:

    As an NDT Trainee, you will work with a safety-first team to job shadow and assist the Level II NDT Technician on job sites to learn all aspects of the services IAG offers. This is an entry-level position intended to provide a career path into the NDT (Non-Destructive Testing) industry. This position can be physically demanding and involves working in a typically outdoor construction environment.


    Key Roles & Responsibilities:

    • Assists with inspection execution and tasks related the inspection which may include but is not limited to supplying or using tools or materials, organizing and cleaning a work area, reporting of services provided, preparing paperwork, setting up boundaries and surveillance of work area, etc,
    • Observes test procedures and product compliance to learn internal and industry specifications.
    • Observe and learn the procedures required to perform work and gain certification in the required NDT methods.
    • Observe and learn proper documentation process required for NDT testing.
    • Follow and enforce the Company required safe work practices and procedures at all times.
    • Actively participates in JSA and uses all necessary steps to complete tasks safely and ensures the safety of others working in the area.
    • Communicates with all levels of management and crew to effectively present any needs and changes.
    • All other duties as assigned.


    Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

    • Ability and interest to become a level II certified Technician in multiple NDT methods.
    • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
    • Ability to adhere to a written method or procedure.
    • Confidence to STOP work when a problem is immediately identified.
    • Ability to read and comprehend technical documents, preferred.
    • Working knowledge of MS Office Suite of products, preferred.
    • Basic knowledge and understanding inspection technology, preferred.
    • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
    • Ability to write simple correspondence.
    • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
    • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.


    Management Responsibilities:

    • This job has no supervisory responsibilities.


    Qualifications (Education, Experience, Certifications):

    • High School diploma or GED required.
    • Technical education, preferred.
    • Six months experience in a similar role is preferred.
    • Current Driver’s license with acceptable driving record required.


    Environmental/Working Conditions:

    • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
    • Must have excellent depth perception, hearing, and manual dexterity to operate all machines safely.
    • The employee must regularly lift and/or move more than 50 pounds.
    • The physical environment for this position requires the employee to work both inside and outside in heat/cold, wet/humid, and dry/arid conditions in extreme temperatures and weather. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to high.


    Other Considerations/Requirements:

    • Willingness and ability to travel domestically, often on short notice, and for extended periods of time.
    • Must meet minimum company requirements to operate a company vehicle and be eligible for coverage under Company insurance program.
    • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
    • This position requires overtime/weekend/off-hours and very frequent travelling.
    • Must be able to travel up to 85% of the time.
