Develops and designs curriculum plans to foster student learning, stimulate class discussions, and ensures student engagement. Being an Instructor - Educational Assessment provides tutoring and academic counseling to students, maintains classes related records, and assesses student coursework. Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Instructor - Educational Assessment typically reports to a department head. ECA Music Teaching Positions: Piano Classes & Choral Ensembles
The ACES Educational Center for the Arts is seeking candidates to fill vacancies for piano, voice, and choral music classes for the 2024-25 school year.
Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree in music/music education and have demonstrated success teaching music at the high school level. ECA teachers serve as mentors to young artists, grades 9-12, and cultivate learning environments rich with inquiry, dialogue, creative and intellectual challenge, and artistry. Responsibilities include the development of course syllabi and concert programs, ongoing feedback and assessment, attendance at faculty meetings, and evening performances (course dependent).
This part-time position begins in late August 2024. Classes meet Mondays - Thursdays, between 1:00 - 4:10 pm. Specific schedules vary depending on the teaching assignment. Additional hours allotted for rehearsals and performances. Hourly rate based on experience and education.
