A lead instructor at Premier Martial Arts is a person who has passion for changing lives through day to day martial arts instruction. An outgoing and servant leader personality is a must! This team member will not only teach, but will inspire others to do their best.

The candidate will help achieve goals by partnering with the studio owners and program director to develop and provide a premium experience for our students.

Primary Duties, Lead Instructor:

• Lead high energy, benefit driven, “edu-taining” instructional classes for children and adults
• Serve as a role model and character educator
• Build and maintain positive relationships with families
• Recruit and retain new students/members
• Oversee student ranking, tracking/reporting, belt tests, and graduations
• Conduct group and private intros
• Assist in management of school (class schedules, sanitation, supplies, inventory)
• Represent PMA at recruitment, marketing and community events
• Complete comprehensive on-going training in PMA skills and instructions
• Learn PMA sales techniques to back the Program Director, as required

Preferred Qualifications:

• 2 years of Martial Arts experience
• 6 mo Prior experience teaching Martial Arts to students of varying ages and fitness levels
• Will pass a criminal background check and drug screening
• Is comfortable presenting to a wide range of audiences; parents, educators, students
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to be a team player
• Outstanding verbal communication skills with the capacity to command attention
• Respectful and supportive of studio owner and leadership
• Strong event planning and organizational skills
• Proficient computer/phone skills and capacity to learn the software used to run the studio

Key competencies, mindset

• Martial Arts experience: Required, Black Belt Preferred
• Experience training, coaching or working w/ kids
• Excited to learn and uphold brand standards, customer-first mentality
• Ability to convey the value of martial arts
• Must be a problem-solver that is solutions-minded
• Must be a skilled presenter and public speaker
• Must be well-organized and able to manage time

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 20 per week
