Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Instructor - Mathematics typically reports to a department head. Has a Master's degree or is a PhD candidate in the applicable field. Has experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate level and possesses the qualifications to participate in research. Basic Functions
The School of Science and Engineering is seeking candidates for full-time instructors in the field of Mathematics. This position will teach undergraduate courses in Mathematics as assigned by the Department Chair or Dean.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITY- Teaching responsibilities include, but are not limited to,College Math I and II, College Algebra, and Pre-Calculus.
- Prepare course syllabi and teach assigned courses based on approved departmental syllabi.
- Prepare all exams and assessments needed for assigned course(s).
- Research and implement innovative teaching strategies to promote academic success in mathematics for all students.
- Work collaboratively with departmental faculty to ensure standard curriculum outcomes are met.
- Be available outside of class to help students learn and to answer their questions (10 office hours per week, in-person and/or virtual).
- Conduct respectful relationships with faculty, staff, and students both in and outside of the classroom.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Ability to teach first-year Mathematics courses and upper-level courses as needed based on faculty expertise.
- Ability to effectively learn and utilize instructional technology, including our learning management system (Canvas).
- Willingness and flexibility to teach day, evening and weekend sections as needed.
- Ability to work collegially and productively within the college community.
- Ability to respond to the needs of learners from a variety of educational backgrounds in a multicultural environment.
Master’s degree in mathematics or closely related field.
