Position: Part-Time Viola/String Instructor

Contract: Summer and 2024-2025 School Year

Compensation: $36-$42 per hour (based on experience and education)

Position Overview:

The Music Room is seeking a passionate and experienced Viola/String Instructor to join our team on a part-time, contracted basis. The successful candidate will provide instruction to students during the summer and throughout the 2024-2025 school year. This role requires a commitment to fostering musical growth and a love of learning in our students.

Responsibilities:

- Provide individual and group viola/string lessons to students of varying ages and skill levels.

- Prepare students for performances and recitals.

- Maintain a positive and encouraging learning environment.

- Communicate regularly with students and parents regarding progress and goals.

- Participate in faculty meetings and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Music, Music Education, or a related field.

- Proven experience in teaching viola/string instruments.

- Strong knowledge of string pedagogy and repertoire.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to motivate and inspire students.

- Flexibility to work afternoon, evening, and weekend hours as required.

Compensation:

- Competitive hourly rate of $36-$42, based on experience and education.
