Position Description/Summary:

The Compliance Specialist should possess a positive attitude, integrity, and the ability to be a role model for colleagues. Attention to detail, excellent communication and customer services skills are important to the successful performance of this role.

The successful candidate will understand federal and state Fair Housing and Section 504 laws and regulations as well as Nevada Landlord -Tenant laws. They will also have proficient experience with auditing applicant/resident file compliance reviews to meet and exceed government agency regulations and program compliance standards. The Compliance Specialist should understand how to monitor rental assistance/subsidy availability, minimum set-aside, unit income targeting percentage for tax credit units and ELI unit income targeting requirements. Knowledge of TRACS/EIV and audit waiting lists preferred. Experience is required in the administration of occupancy requirements, restrictions and regulations governing Tax Credit, HUD Assisted and/or RD Assisted, as applicable. Candidate capable of training onsite staff as required or necessary on proper compliance protocol.
