    Daikin is looking for an Internal Communications Specialist to join our team! The Internal Communications Specialist is primarily responsible for helping build and promote the company’s brand among employees in order to increase employee engagement and contribute to a stronger culture.

    They will work in partnership with the rest of the Communications team and coordinate with leaders across the organization to create communications and support strategic initiatives that connect and inspire employee groups.

    They will also manage content in the new Employee Communications Platform.

    The ideal candidate will be a proficient storyteller with strong interpersonal skills and a passion for creating engaging content.

    This job requires communications expertise, strong writing and presentation skills, and experience as the original author of written and visual materials.

    A strong interest in technology is essential, business-to-business marketing experience a plus.

    Description

    A Day in the Life :

    • Work with the communications team to create and implement a strategy that aligns employee communications with the company’s mission, vision, values and brand positioning.
    • Gain and maintain a deep understanding of our company’s branding, style, policies and processes.
    • Coordinate cross-functional campaigns and employee communications projects with relevant departments across the business.
    • Research communication trends and interview senior leaders.
    • Develop content in a variety of print and digital formats, including emails, blogs, community stories, short bytes, announcements, personal profiles.
    • Copyedit, proofread and revise communications.
    • Coordinate distribution of messages and content through multiple channels, including Staffbase, where content is presented and maintained.
    • Collaborate with vendors (content contractors and Staffbase).
    • Forge connections with department leaders across the business.
    • Manage relationships with sister companies and subsidiaries.
    • Help develop measurement framework(s) to evaluate the impact of communication efforts, and adjust activities and programs as needed.
    • Flexes to support external communications team as workflow demands.

    Qualifications

    What you will Bring :

    • Bachelors Degree in communications, journalism, advertising, marketing or related field
    • 3 years of communications, content marketing, business writing and / or related experience

    Preferred :

    5 years of B2B marketing and corporate communications experience
