Position Summary

The Inventory Control Clerk will conduct cycle counts, bin validations, appropriate system research and transactions to document root cause of inventory discrepancies while assisting all departments.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

(Other duties may be assigned as needed.)

• Perform random cycle counts of product daily based on ABC classification.
• Reconcile variances found during the cycle counts and make corrections.
• Compile inventory accuracy detail based on the cycle counting.
• Reconcile negative inventory issues.
• Restock hardware and other components used in production upon return to stores.
• Provide feedback to appropriate functional groups on gaps to inventory control compliance issues for quick resolution and permanent corrective actions.
• Lead and participate in projects/kaizen events for continuous improvement in inventory control and material transactions.
• Operate forklift during daily duties.
• Perform daily housekeeping tasks as required.
• Correctly use inventory control system to move product between locations.
• Complete daily scan gun audits.

Minimum Level of Education/Training Required

• 2 years’ experience shipping and receiving in a manufacturing environment.

Minimum Experience Required

• Strong attention to detail/accuracy.
• Demonstrated ability to be a strong team player.
• Strong computer skills and basic understanding of ERP and the production process.
• Prior work experience in inventory control and cycle counting in a manufacturing environment.
• Previous shipping and receiving experience in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication skills, positive attitude, and ability to change priorities quickly and remain positive.
• Customer focused with a strong aptitude for quickly learning part numbers.

Incentive: As a member of the Hampel team, you will participate in our profit-sharing plan that pays out 15% of pretax profits quarterly to all eligible employees on a pro-rata basis of individual base wages to total base wages.
