Position Summary:
A large distributor of specialty products in the US is currently seeking an Inventory Control Manager in Goshen, New York. The Inventory Control Manager is responsible for ensuring execution of the daily operations of the inventory control process. This position manages the HighJump Warehouse Management system, cycle counts/QA/slotting/consolidation, repack and auditing process to ensure operational efficiency. Monitors Inbound and Outbound transactions for accuracy and completeness.
Essential Functions
· Monitor operational policies and procedures to ensure the most efficient and effective processing of delivery orders; control of damages, errors and mis-picks; and excellence in customer service levels
· Assist the Warehouse Manager in the monitoring of in-stock positions to minimize shorts
· Help develop, train and maintain inventory/ controls to prevent shrinkage and shortages
· Direct/Conduct semi-annual inventories/process, make appropriate adjustments and report results
· Assist in the start-up/implementation/training of HighJump of company warehouse sites
· Partners with operations teams to drive the most impactful projects and processes to obtain the company’s financial and operational goals
· Manages physical inventories and the cycle inventory process; stock rotation, outside storage and product transfer
· Ensures proper receiving in system, storage and control of warehouse inventory
· Maintains daily accurate physical or cycle inventory on-hand records
· Prepares root-cause analysis of adjustments via transactional Audit report with
· Manage the Return to Stock, Quality Hold process and Repack process
· Ensure that adequate controls are in place to monitor inventory / shrink trends identifying opportunities and provide recommendation to support continuous improvement effort to increase warehouse inventory accuracy and reduction of shrink
· Manage the warehouse site soon to be expired inventory
· Perform QA Audits from direction of corporate or Director of Operations
· Utilize product knowledge to serve as the team’s subject matter expert for HIGHJUMP & Accountmate
· Assist in the development and maintain up-to-date documentation, guidelines and best practices for how to use various tools and our WMS features in order to maximize the impact
· Maintain regular communications with core groups from all departments to ensure visibility across the organization
· Support the Outbound Supervisor in resolving any shipping fulfillment issues or customer complaints.
· Communicate effectively and efficiently with all associates and have transparency with Supervisor and Warehouse Operations Manager
· Comply with all GMP, Safety/ OSHA training, rules, and reporting; ensuring a safe work environment
