IT Capacity Planner evaluates the organization's data processing and storage needs and develops long-term plans to meet business requirements. Implements policies for network storage system troubleshooting, updating and general maintenance. Being an IT Capacity Planner documents problems and solutions and serves as the point of contact for network capacity related issues. Allocates storage space, plans for future projects or acquisitions, reviews hardware and software configurations and makes suggestions for appropriate storage or backup models. Additionally, IT Capacity Planner may require a bachelor's degree in area of specialty. Typically reports to a manager. To be an IT Capacity Planner typically requires 2 to 4 years of related experience. Gains exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITY:
Reporting to the Materials Manager, the Production Planner will work with the corporate Master Scheduler to develop an aggregate production plan. This person will disaggregate the production plan into a detailed schedule by date and model utilizing the IFS/ERP system. This will include all activities pertaining to production planning, material planning, inventory planning and scheduling. This position will execute MRP and create and release shop/assembly orders to the plant, follow and take action to resolve any discrepancy for shop/assembly order and work closely with master scheduling to provide available-to-promise dates with the shortest possible lead time.
