IT Capacity Planning Manager jobs in Maryland

Designs and plans network communications systems. Provides specifications and detailed schematics for network architecture. Conducts cost/benefit analysis and provides specific detailed information for hardware and software selection, implementation techniques and tools for the most efficient solution to meet business needs, including present and future capacity requirements. Conducts testing of network design. Responsible for monitoring network hardware operations to ensure properly set configuration options. Plans implementation of enhancements and upgrades to the network.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of network administration experience is required
• Familiarity with port assignments and jump servers
• Knowledge of networking equipment and boxes
• Must have experience configuring Cisco equipment (i.e. using a command line interface)
• Experience with making assignments of IP addresses to network-connected devices
• Ability to conduct site surveys and optimize network topologies
• Experience preparing site installation and test reports
• Experience using MS Office (ability to create and maintain spreadsheets, word documents, etc)
• Active TS/SCI security clearance with a current polygraph is required
