IT Contracts Manager jobs in New Mexico

IT Contracts Manager creates, writes, negotiates and reviews hardware or software licensing contracts. Works with the Business Development team in establishing agreements that reflect the interests of partners and the company. Being an IT Contracts Manager also works with legal counsel when drafting licensing agreements. Ensures contract performance and rewrites or amends as necessary. Additionally, IT Contracts Manager requires a bachelor's degree. Must have a solid understanding of web technology. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The IT Contracts Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Extensive knowledge of department processes.     What You'll Do

    Lead and mentor a team of contract administrators, fostering an environment of collaboration and growth.

    Collaborate closely with Program Managers to understand contract needs and ensure smooth execution.

    Serve as a key point of contact for contract negotiation and interpretation, providing counsel to company leadership.

    Oversee contract compliance, cost management, and documentation.

    Drive strategic improvements and efficiencies within the Contracts Department.

    Act as the go-to person for complex contract negotiations and strategic opportunities.

    Represent the company with professionalism and integrity in all contract-related matters.

    What You'll Need

    Extensive experience in government procurement and contracts, ideally 12 years or more.

    A bachelor's degree in business or a related field; advanced degrees are a plus.

    Proven leadership skills with at least 4 years of management experience.

    Strong knowledge of federal acquisition regulations and governmental contracts.

    Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to adapt to diverse team needs.

    Proficiency in MS Office suite.

    Ability to work effectively in a remote team environment.
