IT Contracts Manager jobs in Pennsylvania
IT Contracts Manager creates, writes, negotiates and reviews hardware or software licensing contracts. Works with the Business Development team in establishing agreements that reflect the interests of partners and the company. Being an IT Contracts Manager also works with legal counsel when drafting licensing agreements. Ensures contract performance and rewrites or amends as necessary. Additionally, IT Contracts Manager requires a bachelor's degree. Must have a solid understanding of web technology. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The IT Contracts Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Extensive knowledge of department processes. Essential Responsibilities- Manage solar power and battery energy storage systems (BESS) contracts commonly ranging in value from $10 million to $200 million US.
- Support Projects and Services team to execute customer contracts from contract finalization through contract close out, including change order and claim negotiation, and issue and dispute resolution.
- Communicate contract strategies, deliverables, risks, and opportunities as required internally within GE.
- Meet GE business expectations by managing safety, quality, schedule, cost, margin, cash flow, and risks.
- Protect GE’s reputation and technology in the market place.
- Promote a working environment that encourages employee involvement to achieve excellence in all projects and services metrics.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or law
- Minimum 3 years of contract or project management experience
- Ability and willingness to travel up to 20% of the time
- Position is based in Pittsburgh, PN, or Houston, TX, USA, or Schenectady, NY
- Fluent in the English language; oral and written, technical and commercial
- Proven track record of leading multi-cultural teams
- Strong interpersonal and influence skills
- Solar and/or BESS contract management experience
- GE Solar and Storage Solutions experience
- Lean continuous improvement experience
