Bierschbach Equipment & Supply has an immediate opening for a Controller in Sioux Falls, SD. This is an excellent opportunity to join an employee-owned company!  We are a well-established provider of construction equipment and supplies with locations in Sioux Falls (headquarters) and Rapid City, South Dakota, Sioux City, Iowa, and Fargo and Dickinson, North Dakota.

The Controller is responsible for managing the general ledger, overseeing the financial reporting, and other various accounting responsibilities. This position will also provide support to team members in all departments and reports directly to the CFO.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the preparation of timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Reconcile and review general ledger account balances and activity.
• Be a resource for personnel with analysis, reconciliations, payments, etc.
• Ensure the completion and accuracy of monthly, quarterly, and yearly state and federal returns.
• Implement and maintain effective internal controls.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
• One year of relevant work experience.
• Ability to communicate effectively across all departments.
• Excellent analytical and organizational skills.
• Proficient with Excel and financial software is a plus.
