    Job Description

    Client is currently seeking qualified Solids Control Technicians to join our growing U.S.-based oilfield services company. Successful candidates will be responsible for maintaining solids control services for Company clients. Technicians assist with rig-ups, rig-outs, centrifuge support, equipment testing, equipment monitoring, troubleshooting and repair and serve as client liaisons to ensure that job targets are achieved. This position reports to the Director of Operations or Operations Supervisor.

    Solids Control Technicians will work away from home for up to 20 days at a time, sleeping in either a Company trailer on the rig site, Company-provided housing, or in a nearby hotel at Company expense. Shifts run for 12.5 hours and can be extended if needed. Technicians will work in all types of weather, including cold, heat, rain, and snow. Solids Control Technicians must stand up to 12 hours at a time, climb and descend stairs and ladders, carry equipment and supplies weighing up to 50 pounds, and operate equipment safely. Must be able to read, write, and speak English and have basic computer skills.

    Duties And Responsibilities

    • Rigging up and rigging out of company equipment at client well-sites
    • Providing optimal operation and maintenance of Company equipment
    • Function testing of all equipment prior to leaving location as required
    • Schedule and/or perform equipment repairs as needed
    • Completion of daily field reporting and safety documentation
    • Adhering to and participating in all Company safety policies and procedures

    Minimum Qualifications And Experience

    • 2 plus years field experience in the Oil and Gas industry required; OBM and WBM solids control experience
    • 2 plus years' experience operating Variable Speed Centrifuges & Dewatering
    • 2 plus years’ experience operating excavator / trackhoe
    • Other training or experience in electrical/mechanical activities is a plus
    • Mechanical aptitude a plus
    • Willingness to learn and train to develop your skill base
    • Showing initiative is encouraged to promote advancement with the Company
    • Strong team player with the ability to work independently
    • Must be highly organized and detailed-oriented
    • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
    • Basic computer skills using Excel and Outlook
    • Ability to work long hours on a variable schedule in all types of weather conditions (cold, hot, rain and snow) standing, climbing and descending stairs/ladders and be able to lift and carry up to 50lbs all and operate equipment while working safely.
    • Oilfield training is required and may include; SafeLand, H2S, First Aid, GHS and Confined Spaces.
    • Valid Driver’s license with clean driver’s record and willing to travel extensively
    • Effective organizational skills are required
