The Inventory/Production Control Supervisor is responsible for timely processing of routers or work orders through the shop floor. Responsible for controlling the flow of the orders throughout the process. Assuring that all routings have standard time included. This position must understand the various machine cycle times and time per operation to schedule jobs to meet the customer due dates. This position will given training in the “File Maker” software which is the current operating system. Will work closely with purchasing to insure on time receipt of supplier materials. Will keep management updated on status of critical customer orders and will sometimes answer customer inquiries.
Responsibilities
· Assemble job packets or routers for the production team
· Perform accurate data entry using specified software platforms
· Run inventory cycle counts and report findings.
· Communicate with various department members for order status updates
· Update routings working with engineering.
· Communicate with vendors regarding purchase orders
· Assist management with the annual physical inventory process
· Work on special projects if required
· Provide open order updates to customers
· Other duties as assigned
