Top Skills:
A seasoned senior project manager who is hands-on delivering the projects from initiation to implementation; he/she is able to manage scope, schedule, quality, cost, and risks in details.
He/she needs to maintain communication with all stakeholders, keeping them informed about the project and addressing any concerns promptly; he/she needs to do so verbally, meetings, PowerPoint and presentations.
He/she needs to identify risks, mitigate risks that could impact project success.
He/she needs to be able to work in a weak matrix environment and influence with no authority.
He/she needs to take his/her experiences and mentor & coach & lead less experience member on the team.
He/she needs to adapt quickly to Honda environment and culture.
Expert in using PowerPoint and presentation skills will ensure success
He/she needs to know how IT procurement process and able to manage vendors contracts (e.g. SOW, amendments, order, change order, etc.)
Daily Tasks- Develop Project Plans: Create detailed project plans that identify resource and budgetary needs.
- Host Regular Project Meetings: Conduct weekly meetings with the project team and managers to discuss progress, address challenges, and provide updates.
- Manage Deadlines: Ensure that project milestones and deadlines are met by coordinating efforts across departments.
- Coordinate with Vendors and Suppliers: Collaborate with external vendors and suppliers as needed for project execution.
- Risk Identification: Continuously assess project risks, including technical, operational, and organizational aspects.
- Mitigation Strategies: Develop risk mitigation plans and proactively address potential issues.
- Quality Control: Implement quality assurance processes to ensure deliverables meet established standards.
- Testing and Validation: Oversee testing phases, including functional, integration, and user acceptance testing.
- Status Updates: Regularly communicate project progress to stakeholders, adjusting communication style based on the audience (executives, technical teams, etc.).
- Issue Resolution: Address any project-related issues promptly, seeking consensus and maintaining transparency.
- Change Implementation: Facilitate the transition from legacy systems to modernized solutions.
- User Adoption: Promote user acceptance and adoption of new technologies.
He/She will be the Sr. Project Manager to work on a very large project to modernize a legacy applicaton in the VSC business area.
