IT Quality Assurance Director is responsible for planning and directing the policies, programs, and initiatives used to monitor and measure the overall quality of IT services, systems, and software. Ensures that tracking systems capture useful operational metrics for use in reducing defects, improving service, and optimizing the implementation process. Being an IT Quality Assurance Director requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a top management. The IT Quality Assurance Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure.   • Position Overview

    The IT Project Manager is a self-directed team leader that will manage wide ranging complex digital transformation technical projects within the Stowers IT organization. They will lead planning and/or implementation of assigned enterprise IT projects through the full life cycle from project definition and approval through closing and all project deliverables in parallel. The IT Project Manager will facilitate the definition of project missions, goals, tasks, and resource requirements; resolve or assist in the resolution of conflicts within and between projects or functional areas; develop methods to monitor project or area progress; and provide corrective actions when necessary. She/he will advocate on behalf of business stakeholders and represent stakeholder needs as appropriate to all levels of the project teams, while concurrently maintaining cost, schedule and requirement baselines and adhering to strict change control processes. The candidate will work cross-functionally to solve problems and implement changes. The ideal candidate will present oral and written reports defining plans, problems, and resolutions to appropriate levels of project team members, and stakeholders.


    The IT Project Manager will be a detailed oriented, pragmatic, analytical, professional with excellent communication skills. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who can drive, influence and collaborate with a multitude of stakeholders, sponsors and technical teams to meet project goals. He/she is a project leader with proven experience in managing digital transformation projects that include ERP migrations, Salesforce development and platform implementations, and deployment of Warehouse and Document Management systems.


    Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions)

    To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

    • Plan, schedule and track project timelines, resources, milestones and deliverables using program/project management tools and best practices.
    • Define project scope, goals and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with management and stakeholders.
    • Develop and manage full-scale project plans and associated communications documents for all assigned projects.
    • Set, communicate and continually manage project expectations with team members and other stakeholders in a timely, clear and concise manner.
    • Conduct project closing and create lessons learned documentation identifying successful and unsuccessful project elements.
    • Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path issues/risks.
    • Proactively manage changes in project scope, schedule, resources and budget.
    • Identify any issues/risks to program/project success and develop mitigation plans to manage them throughout the project life cycle.
    • Coordinate the efforts of all project team members and contractors, influencing them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work.
    • Coordinate with IT leadership to ensure that all program/project deliverables align with and support the strategic business goals of the applicable products.
    • Build, develop, and grow business relationships vital to the success of the program and any related projects.
    • Manage project requirements from initiation through definition of done including: managing scope, resolving road blocks, eliciting and delivering requirements, communication, testing, and training while promoting best practices and standards.
    • Engage with all project stakeholders both internally and externally including: Executive and IT Management, Project Sponsor, Product Owner, Subject Matter Experts and additional required resources to continually seek opportunities to increase customer satisfaction and deepen customer relationships
    • Drive and challenge business units on their assumptions of how they will successfully execute their plans
    • Responsible for eliciting requirements using interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, storyboards, surveys, site visits, business process mapping and descriptions, build vs buy analysis, task and workflow analysis for critical evaluation of information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs
    • Create and deliver artifacts derived from functional requirements utilizing: Business Requirement Documents, Business Process Diagrams, User Stories and Mockups for development and subject matter acceptance to establish the technical vision and balance usability and performance needs
    • Clearly communicate to and share accountability for project results, progress, risks, expectations, timelines, milestones and other key project metrics with all project stakeholders
    • Assist in coordination, leading and executing the testing process and UAT
    • Other duties as assigned

    Qualifications

    To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education/Experience

    • Minimum of 5 years of IT program/project management experience.
    • Bachelor’s Degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science or equivalent technical Degree
    • Experience working in heavy equipment and manufacturing business preferred
    • Managing enterprise level digital transformations projects that include ERP migrations, Warehouse Management Systems, and Document Management Systems
    • Salesforce development and platform implementations
    • Microsoft Dynamics or D365 platform implementations
    • Project Management Professional (PMP) preferred
    • CSM – Certified Scrum Master preferred
    • Six Sigma, Lean or other TQM certification a plus

    Knowledge/Skill Requirements

    • Act as a role model by maintaining organizational standards of satisfaction, quality, and performance at highest level
    • A self-directed team leader that manages risks, issues, etc. are proactively addressed with the business
    • Ability to manage the complex and more technical projects within the Stowers IT organization
    • Responsible for talent development within the Stowers IT organization, including training, interviewing & mentoring
    • Understanding of Agile Software Development Methodology
    • Knowledge of Project Management methodologies
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Microsoft Project and Visio
    • Responsible for developing/growing business relationships vital to the success of project
    • Project representative at executive meetings
    • Ability to develop, define and document standards/strategy
    • Ability to manage multiple projects of high complexity
    • Coordinate with Business Owners to ensure deliverables align with strategic business goals
    • Ability to consistently drive self and others to achieve results despite obstacles and setbacks.
    • Strong familiarity with project management software, such as Microsoft Project, Clarizen, etc.
    • Must possess strong oral / written communication and listening skills.
    • Ability to achieve results with a hands-on, collaborative approach; works well in a team.
    • Proficient in encouraging diverse thinking to promote and nurture innovation.
    • Excellent problem solving, interpersonal, communication, and project management skills a must.
    • Strong leadership skills that inspire team confidence and respect while motivating team members in a creative and effective manner.
    • Must be extremely detail-oriented with respect to documentation and communication.
    • Strong understanding of different software development life cycles (waterfall, agile), program/project management processes, and automated tools.
    • Must have experience in managing and working with distributed team members.
    • Flexible in conforming to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
    • Reacts to project adjustments and alterations promptly and efficiently.
    • Ability to read communication styles of team members and contractors who come from a broad spectrum of disciplines.
    • Persuasive, encouraging, and motivating.
    • Ability to elicit cooperation from a wide variety of sources, including upper management, clients, and other departments.
    • Must be able to learn, understand, and apply new technologies.
    • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment is crucial.
