Being a Jeweler may have to complete an apprenticeship and/or formal training in area of specialty with 0-2 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Additionally, Jeweler relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. The Bench Jeweler role will require use of hand/power tools to set gemstones and diamonds, solder/repair emblems/ring. Also responsible in maintaining their tools and equipment and for managing the workshop supplies, precious metal parts (findings), and stones needed to complete jobs. They will also maintain the shop and personal workspace in a clean, organized, presentable, and efficient manner. Typical skills to be demonstrated:
· Chain and clasp repair
· Laser welder
· Re-tipping prongs
· Setting stones
· Creating mountings
· Performing minor or major ring repair and other jewelry repairs
o Individuals with a high standard for quality work

o Ability to manage production schedules and workflow
o Ability to stay focused on projects and meet deadlines
o Ability to work quickly and precisely with tools ,machines, and open flame (torch)
o Knowledge of precious metals assembly and fabrication techniques
