Title: Delivery/ Assembly Associate

Delivery/ Assembly Associate is responsible for efficiently organizing, loading, delivering cabinets and fixtures to our customers, and professionally represents Andrew’s Fixture’s core values of Care, Accountability, and Respect. You must be at least 25 years of age with a minimum of five years of driving experience and a clean driving record. This is an on-the-job training position. The Delivery/ Assembly Associate’s primary responsibility is to make deliveries to our customers and will also be expected to assist in the assembly of cabinets. We will train you to use pneumatic staplers/pin nailers, cordless drills, drivers, and all the tools required to assemble cabinets.

Hours: Monday- Friday, 7 am- 3:30 pm

Delivery Job Description and Responsibilities

• Safely and efficiently load and deliver cabinetry and other fixtures to customers
• Pack and load products onto trucks according to company’s specifications
• Maintain ongoing communication with route dispatcher/admin office
• Organize and verify that every component for every delivery is loaded and delivered
• Communicate with customers, coworkers, and supervisors
• Coordinate delivery schedules and efficient delivery routes
• Load, unload, prepare, inspect, and operate a delivery vehicle
• Handle packing slips, obtain signatures, complete logs, take photos, and make reports
• Follow DOT regulations and safety standards

Assembler Job Description and Responsibilities

• Groove cabinet parts and drawer stock on the dedicated power feed table saw
• Drill doors for hinges and drill through for pulls on door pairs
• Assemble drawers, install drawer guides, and install drawers in cabinets
• Assemble cabinets referencing drawings, cut lists, and cabinet lists.
• Gather and verify the correct parts for each cabinet by referencing drawings and lists.
• Install the appropriate hardware, such as hinges and drawer guides
• Mark off drawings verifying that a cabinet is assembled and identified with the correct label.
• Position the cabinet for door and drawer installation
• Install Drawers, Doors, and Drawer Fronts, maintaining proper gapping and alignment
• Maintain a safe working environment by cleaning, disposing of consumables, and maintaining hose lines and electrical cords

Additional Responsibilities

• Keep the truck, and work areas cleaned, and alert your Supervisor of any issues you may observe.
• Ensure all Road and Shop safety is being upheld.
• Participate and add value to monthly safety meetings
• Help unload and organize materials, hardware, and supplies.
• Assist with cutting, machining, and banding operations as needed
• Alert Supervisors when supplies and materials are low and need to be reordered.

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license for a minimum of five years
• Must be at least 25 years of age to operate the delivery truck
• Good driving record with no traffic violations
• High school degree
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Ability to lift 75 lbs.
• Ability to stand for a long period.
• Ability to safely operate machinery, tools, and equipment as needed.

Education and/or Experience:

• This is an on-the-job training position, but some cabinet-making or delivery experience is a plus
• High School Degree or equivalent (degree can be completed after hiring)
• Excellent communication and listening skills, ability to follow directions, and communicate issues to the Team as they arise.
• The ability to make decisions, problem-solve, prioritize assignments, and succeed in an ever-changing, Shop environment.
• A positive attitude is key, and leadership and customer service skills are valued.
