    JOB SUMMARY

    Primary responsibility is the washing of all restaurant dishes, glasses, utensils, pots, pans, and equipment. Completes deep cleaning tasks as posted on a master cleaning schedule. Responsible for equipment maintenance and cleaning. Informs management of any malfunctions of machinery. Is familiar with and follows sanitation rules and regulations. May assist with organizing, food prep, and putting freight away as business needs dictate.

                   

    ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

    1. Ensures exemplary customer satisfaction through prompt, efficient, and friendly service.
    2. Washes dishes, glassware, silverware, pots, pans, and utensils. Restock items in an organized manner.
    3. Deep cleans kitchen areas as dictated per shift cleaning schedule.
    4. Assists in keeping the entire kitchen clean and organized.
    5. Works with culinary staff as assigned putting freight away, using FIFO (first in, first out method).
    6. Daily maintenance of dishwasher equipment and reports any deficiencies to the supervisor.
    7. Continuous maintenance of dishwasher and kitchen area as being clean and grease-free.
    8. During slow times, assist with utility maintenance cleaning as directed.
    9. Takes clean dishes, silverware, and all glassware to the dining room as needed.
    10. Promotes a clean, safe, and healthy work environment for employees and guests. Promptly reports all concerns to the supervisor.
    11. During overload or staff shortage time, may function in a busser or prep cooking role.
    12. Compliance with regulatory laws, employee handbook, department policies and procedures, safety codes, etc.
    13. Ensures that the operation of equipment, tools, and materials are handled safely.
    14. Promotes internal guest service standards through courteous and respectful behavior.
    15. Performs other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

    1. Works with water and chemicals.
    2. Follows written and oral instructions.
    3. Reads and understands product labels.
    4. Physically fit - able to stand and or walk for long periods; able to perform repetitive motions with wrists, hands, and fingers; and able to lift and maneuver 50 lbs. routinely throughout the day.
    5. Effective communication skills – verbally able to provide instruction, responds to questions, and has exceptional personal skills and abilities.
    6. Available to work all hours, shifts, weekends, and holidays.
    7. Exhibits a professional demeanor through appearance and by maintaining a positive attitude toward all employees and guests.
    8. Requires a criminal history background check.
    9. Must be at least 18 years of age.

     

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    1. Three (3) months experience working as a dishwasher.
    2. Trained in equipment deep cleaning.
    3. Ability to work unsupervised.
