Additionally, Laboratory Courier must be licensed to operate a vehicle. Licensing requirements depend on the state. Must have a "satisfactory" driving record. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Laboratory Courier may require 0-1 year of general work experience. Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. The Position:
This is a 1099 will be an independent contractor position. The driver will use their own car and is responsible for all costs related to gas and maintenance of thier vehicle.
This route is based out of Detroit, MI and carries medical specimens from various health departments and hospitals to Farmington, MI. The route runs 2:00pm-7:00pm Sunday-Friday. The courier will be contracted to work Sunday-Tuesday. A willingness to help cover the remaining days of week as needed would be helpful. This route does run on holidays. Interested candidates should be comfortable driving year-round in Michigan weather and should enjoy driving. The route pay range for this route is $175 to $180 depending on the day of the week.
