Construction Coordinator, SMC

  • Idaho National Laboratory is hiring a Construction Coordinator to work in our SMC Engineering & Product Development department. Our team works a 4x10 schedule located out of our Specific Manufacturing Capabilities facility with every Friday off.

    In this role you will report to the manager for Engineering & Product Development. This role will conduct, and direct project activities for work scope required to support SMC mission. Additionally, you will provide technical input to support procurement activities of engineered deliverables of hardware and materials for SMC production and R&D activities.

    Responsibilities Include

    • Coordinate, monitor and support subcontracted operations by acting as TPOC/project coordinator for assigned construction projects or other projects as assigned.
    • Review JSA’s and pre-job briefs to make sure scope is accurately reflected and addressed.
    • Ensure SMC funded construction activities are executed within the scope and intent of work control documentation.
    • Attend construction pre-job briefings, walk-down active job sites, initiate daily status updates with superintendent and CFR and report to SMC stakeholders daily.
    • Develop long-range and short-range schedule checklist to review with construction.
    • Review schedules for potential issues/overlaps/sequencing problems/long lead items.

    Minimum Requirements

    • PR0200: Baccalaureate & 2 years of relevant experience, or Advanced Degree & 1 years of relevant experience or ten (10) years of applicable manufacturing experience related to metal fabrication, welding or machining may be substituted in lieu of a baccalaureate degree.
    • PR0300: Baccalaureate & 5 years of relevant experience, or Advanced Degree & 3 years of relevant experience or thirteen (13) years of applicable manufacturing experience related to metal fabrication, welding or machining may be substituted in lieu of a baccalaureate degree.
    • Experience working on SECRET level classified projects is preferred.

    This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy "Q" clearance, which requires US Citizenship.

    • Salary Grade PR0300 - 190: ($72,528 - $119,652)
    • Salary Grade PRo400 - 200: ($83,412 - $137,592)

    • TDP: This is a testing designated position; you will be required to submit to a pre-employment drug screen and periodic drug testing throughout the term of your employment.
