LAN/WAN Administrator is responsible for the settings, configuration and maintenance of LAN/WAN and related hardware/software. Provides troubleshoots pertaining to LAN/WAN to meet users' needs. Being a LAN/WAN Administrator takes initiative for the network security and systems upgrades. Requires a bachelor's degree. Additionally, LAN/WAN Administrator typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The LAN/WAN Administrator occasionally directed in several aspects of the work.     Oversees the health services program; including Skilled Nursing, Assisted Living, Residential Health Services, Memory Care, and In-Apartment Care. Ensures customer satisfaction, positive survey outcomes, regulatory compliance, and quality assurance. Exercises sound fiscal judgment, achieves revenue goals and manages expenses against operational, labor and capital expenditure budgets.


    Responsibilities:

    • Ensures that consistently high-quality care and services are provided in accordance with regulatory guidelines.
    • Provides oversight to the Coordination of Care team, ensuring that resident rights and personal dignity are supported at all times.
    • Oversees the Quality Improvement program for Skilled Nursing, and facilitates implementation of needed improvements across departments.
    • Oversees care coordination for all the residents who require a temporary or permanent move from their independent, assisted living, or skilled nursing accommodations as well as short term rehabilitation and non-life care residents.
    • May oversee the Wellness Department and Programs depending on the specific work location.
    • Supports and assists residents and their families with these transitions. Participates in the screening and admissions of residents into Independent Living, Assisted Living or Skilled Nursing Facilities.
    • Promotes and monitors resident Wellness Program to abide by the vision and philosophy of company.
    • Participates in Resident Committee meetings, such as the Health Committee, Wellness Committee, and others as directed by the Executive Director.
    • Directs admissions and discharges; coordinates with Skilled Nursing, Assisted Living, Memory Care, and Independent Living staff.
    • Ensures that policies and procedures which have been developed in response to regulatory procedures are trained to and enforced.
    • Responsible for assuring that EHR adoption and usage are effective and that information reported within the EHR is accurate, including census, assessment/billing cycle, and that the EHR is the “single source of truth” for healthcare related activities.
    • Ensures timely delivery of Medicare denial letter to patient. Ensures that families and responsible parties are kept informed of status.
    • Provides campus leadership during absence of Executive Director.
    • Provides campus leadership in coordination with Executive Director during emergency situations.


    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

    • Working knowledge of Title 22, OBRA, and policies and procedures related to the efficient and effective operation of skilled nursing facilities, assisted living units, and residential facilities for the elderly.
    • Administrative skills: ability to design, implement and achieve long and short-term goals that support the strategic plan as well as develop tactical objectives for the execution by direct reports.
    • Financial skills: ability to forecast operational, labor and capital budgets; provide guidance to direct reports in the budget preparation process, analysis, monitoring and adjustment.
    • Marketing skills: ability to actively participate in the development and implementation of Skilled Nursing marketing plans.
    • Human Resources skills: ability to guide direct reports with regard to staff recruitment, retention, training, etc.
    • Resident Services skills: ability to ensure greater level of customer satisfaction through daily rounds to observe residents and ensure that staffing levels meet residents’ needs.
    • Miscellaneous skills: possess an understanding of issues involved in the operation of a retirement community with a full spectrum of services; demonstrate a pro-active approach to monitoring resident, visitor, staff and facility safety.
    • Computer literacy required.


    Education and Qualifications:

    • Minimum three to five years management experience in a high acuity, fast paced Medicare environment with a proven track record of good survey results.
    • Bachelor’s Degree in Health, Administration, or related field, Master’s degree in related field a plus.
    • Possess current Nursing Home Administrator License in the State of California and current Residential Care Facility for the Elderly (RCFE) Administrator License in the State of California.
