Ed Holmes and Associates Land Surveyors, PA, are currently seeking applicants for Survey Crew Chief for full-time employment. This position will work primarily in the field, but with opportunities for growth, including full survey-related education expenses paid by Company, on the job training and support, and licensure expenses and testing fees paid by Company. Headquartered in Asheville, NC, EHA serves private and public entities on design and construction related projects in North Carolina, South Carolina, and Tennessee.

- Take lead in executing field construction surveys such as site layout, slope staking, as-built, and building layout accurately and efficiently
- Provide leadership in vehicle, instrument, and equipment care and maintenance
- Supervise other crew members, as needed, in proper surveying techniques and equipment operations
- Develop thorough and accurate field notes, data collection, survey reports, and calculations
- Proactively provide routine communications to supervisors and project managers
Position Requirements
- High School diploma
- Valid driver’s license and good driving record
- Minimum of 3 years of progressive survey experience
- Proficiency with field survey instruments, Trimble preferred
- Proficiency using laptop computers, data collectors, and survey-related software
- Ability to read plans/blueprints
- Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
- Ability to work outdoors in all types of weather, carry heavy loads, and work long hours
- Ability to work independently or as part of a survey crew
