THE ROLE
We are looking for a seasoned and charismatic Business Development Manager to grow our new business pipeline and bring on quality commercial partnerships. The Business Development Manager will also manage the overall pipeline and support the development of scalable commercial activities. We are a fast growing company on a mission to maximize environmental and social impact, and this role is critical to helping us achieve our growth targets.
Land Life works with some of the world’s leading corporations, making this a very fast paced and exciting role. The evolving carbon market and increasing attention to nature-based solutions present a dynamic opportunity for the person in this role to work with the team to develop creative solutions for clients and contribute directly to global goals. This position will engage extensively with prospects and customers. As such, command of the Land Life proposition, market context, and an ability to foster productive and honest relationships is a must.
This role is based in Amsterdam and reports to the Head of Business Development. Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
Source new business from your network and generate leads;
Scope, compile proposal, negotiate, and close deals with large corporates and financial institutions;
Directly contribute to our revenue targets;
Oversee E2E pipeline activity.
Other than that, you will:
Manage overall pipeline for the entire commercial operation (e.g. pipeline reporting, forecasting);
Supporting contracting, including coordination with finance and legal internally and with the client;
Coordinating with cross-functional teams (e.g. operations) to ensure Land Life’s ability to meet customer requirements for new sales.

THIS IS YOU
The following outlines our target profile; however, we are interested in candidates from a variety of backgrounds who are excited about what we do and possess the following qualifications:
Minimum of 7 years experience in B2B sales;
Proven track record of achieving revenue targets;
Demonstrated ability to develop relationships with organizations at Director and C-Suite levels;
Ability to understand, communicate, and sell complex products;
Proactive, impact oriented, creative, and innovative approach to business development;
Analytic and strategic mind in combination with a pragmatic, hands-on approach;
Network of sustainability roles at large corporates and financial funds a plus
Willingness to travel as needed
You are fluent in English and Dutch, with strong English writing skills as all proposals and contracts are written in English
