    THE POSITION This position, reporting to the Community Development Director, oversees site disturbance permits, reviews storm water control, landscape grading, and erosion control for subdivisions and permits, coordinates with various agencies, conducts field inspections, evaluates development proposals, supervises planning staff, works on weekends and holidays as needed, and handles private information responsibly. It also performs additional tasks assigned by the Community Development Director.

     

    • $80,808 to $96,033.60 annually depending on experience
    • Public Employees Retirement System of Idaho (PERSI), a pension plan with five year vesting, 11.18% employer contribution, and a lifetime payout upon retirement.

    DO YOU QUALIFY?

    • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university in landscape architecture, civil engineering, or a related major; and a minimum of three years related experience and/or training; or Master’s degree in same disciplines; and one year of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.  Strong presentation skills, and verbal/written communication skills are required.   
    • Comprehensive knowledge of the applicable principles and practices of storm water drainage, landscape grading, layout and dimensioning, revegetation, and construction plans and details. 
    • Ability to interpret and analyze technical information, and to prepare and present technical oral and written reports; organize, supervise, and implement complex research projects; read engineered plans and construction drawings; and hike on steep, risky terrain in all weather conditions.
    • Do you possess or have the ability to possess a driver’s license and are you insurable?
