Laundry and Drycleaning Machine Operator/Tender sets-up and operates a conditioner machine that semi-dries and untangles flatwork. Prepares clothing articles for ironing. Being a Laundry and Drycleaning Machine Operator/Tender may require a high school diploma or its equivalent and 0-2 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Additionally, Laundry and Drycleaning Machine Operator/Tender relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. While performing it is required to sit, stand, stoop, bend, twist, walk, push and / or pull heavy loads for the majority of the shift.
Use of hands to finger, handle, feel or operate objects tools or controls are required. It’s required to regularly talk or hear while fulfilling the duties of the job.
The position requires a great deal of stretching and bending, often in awkward positions. Additionally, the role requires frequent lifting and / or moving up to 50 pounds and frequent push and / or pull of wheeled carts up to 500 lbs.
