Job Opening: Insulation Manager

We are currently seeking an Insulation Manager with experience in fabricating silicone/Teflon reinforced fiberglass blankets, insulation fittings, and precut jacketing for the commercial and industrial sectors.

Job Description:

• Use and inspect Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in compliance with company safety regulations, policies, and procedures.
• Communicate with the design and QA teams regarding drawings and specifications.
• Plan work and select appropriate tools.
• Visualize objects in three dimensions from plans and drawings.
• Measure, cut, stuff/layer, and sew materials to fabricate insulating products using drawings and specifications.
• Use trade tools to fabricate covers/blankets for pipes, valves, flanges, vessels, etc.
• Compare and discern differences in size, shape, and form of lines, figures, and objects.
• Apply basic math skills to perform sewing and cutting with precision and accuracy.
• Make decisions based on measurable criteria.
• Cut various types of materials for fabrication.
• Manage material needs related to the fabrication process.
• Maintain a clean and organized work and storage area.
• Use rivets, grommets, and other fasteners as needed.
• Move materials needed for fabrication from the storage area.
• Pack finished products for delivery to customers.

Required Skills:

• Minimum of 10 years of experience as an Insulation Manager in the commercial and industrial sectors.
• Proven experience in fabricating insulation covers/blankets or related fields.
• Ability to accurately measure and cut materials.
• Proficiency in sewing, particularly with industrial materials.
• Ability to read and comprehend specifications and drawings.
• Ability to deliver products on time.
• Capability to work in a diverse workforce.
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment, making decisions and solving problems to meet productivity and project goals.
• Effective communication skills in one-on-one and small group settings.
• Ability to establish and maintain professionalism, courtesy, dignity, trust, and respect with customers and colleagues.
• Proficient verbal and written communication skills.

Other Requirements:

• Must be able to pass pre-employment screening.
• Regularly sit, stand, and walk throughout an 8-10 hour day.
• Frequent stooping, bending, reaching, lifting, pushing, and pulling.
• Willingness to work in year-round temperatures and moderate weather conditions.
• Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment needed for the position.
