Lean is critical to our continued success. The Lean Manager will teach and coach the organization on principles and tools in order to drive cultural transformation resulting in improved performance across operational business metrics. Individual contributor position, no direct reports. Job Description Essential Responsibilities Lean Transformation: Support the site’s Lean Transformation through the implementation of value stream model lines. Lead the development of Value Stream Maps and Kaizen Roadmaps to close gaps in operational business metrics. Sustain and improve the site’s Daily Management System (Daily Management Meetings, Leader Standard Work, Genba Walks, and At Point Problem Solving). Deploy standard work as the foundation for everyone to continually improve their work. Coach teams in effective problem solving (Define, Analyze, Countermeasure, & Sustain). Drive the development and closure of action plans. Act as a resource to educate, coach, and practice lean principles and tools. Lean Culture: Align site to GE Aerospace’s Lean Operating Model - Flight Deck, at both an enterprise and individual level. Continuous Improvement (Kaizen): Culture of ‘Change for the Better’ through scientific thinking and self-reflection. Respect for People: Nurturing collaboration, coaching, and candor so that employees are empowered to make improvements. Customer Driven: Listening to our customers to deliver value day over day. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree accredited college or university AND a Minimum of 3 years of lean manufacturing experience. OR a high school diploma / GED with a minimum of 7 years of lean manufacturing experience. Desired Experience and Characteristics Humble: respectful, receptive, agile, eager to learn. Ability to coordinate several projects simultaneously. Experience working in manufacturing, specifically in a shop floor environment. Experience training others in principles of Lean methodology.
