Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-oriented individual to join our team as a Leasing Consultant. As a Leasing Consultant, you will be responsible for assisting prospective tenants with finding and leasing residential properties. Responsibilities:
- Conduct property tours for potential tenants and provide detailed information about the property features, amenities, and leasing terms
- Respond to inquiries from prospective tenants via phone, email, or in-person
- Process rental applications, conduct background checks, and verify income and rental history
- Prepare lease agreements and ensure all necessary documentation is completed accurately
- Coordinate move-in and move-out processes, including conducting inspections and documenting any damages
- Assist with marketing efforts to attract new tenants, including creating online listings and organizing open houses
- Address tenant concerns and resolve any issues or conflicts that may arise
- Maintain accurate records of tenant interactions, lease agreements, and other relevant documentation
Skills:
- Strong sales skills with the ability to effectively promote rental properties and close deals
- Excellent customer relationship management skills to provide exceptional service to tenants
- Proficiency in property management software such as OneSite or similar platforms
- Conflict management skills to handle tenant disputes or difficult situations with professionalism
- Knowledge of office procedures and administrative tasks related to leasing activities
- Familiarity with Section 8 housing programs and requirements is a plus
- Ability to negotiate lease terms and rental rates with prospective tenants
- Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) is preferred
- Understanding of legal administrative processes related to leasing contracts
