Library Assistant jobs in New Mexico

The assistant will interact with the public to provide excellent customer service. Library Assistants provide customer service while conducting basic library circulation functions. Maintain book collections, order and process new books in the collection as well as promote library services and programming. Assistants will need to work with all age groups and substitute for other staff members as needed.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

• Must be able to lift to twenty (20) pounds
• High School Graduate or Equivalent
• Basic Computer Knowledge
• Cash Handling Skills
• Customer Service Experience
• Information Technology skills a plus

Preferred Skills

• Word, Excel, Ability to Multi-task, Phone Operations

Additional Notes

• Answering phones – answering questions and concerns regarding Library content and services.
• Resolving issues through interaction with the Library Director.
• Responding to emails
• Maintaining a positive and professional demeanor
• Provide quality customer service.
• Other administrative duties as assigned.

Part-Time Employment with the Village of Cloudcroft DOES NOT provide benefits.

Pay: From $12.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 20 per week
