Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant assists one or more physical therapists in evaluations, tests, and treatments of patients. Prepares patients and equipment for therapy and implements treatment plans as instructed, including exercises, stretching maneuvers, hands-on therapy, and equipment. Being a Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant records patient's reaction to treatment and provides status reports at the end of each treatment to the physical therapist. Requires an associate degree. Additionally, Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant requires State physical therapist assistant license. Typically reports to a physical therapist. Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant's years of experience requirement may be unspecified. Certification and/or licensing in the position's specialty is the main requirement.     This role is Full Time Monday-Friday 

    Compensation starting at $24.00/hour for new grads; up to $30.00/hour based on experience. Potential for student debt relief and sign on bonuses.

    Responsibilities

    Implements, with supervision of Physical Therapist, high quality physical therapy services for patients, caregivers and facilities in accordance with the principals and practices of physical therapy and with Select Medical policies and procedures.

    Develops treatment plans, supervises assistants and aides, contributes to case management, and provides quality patient care.

    Maintains positive level of interaction with facilities and clients. Enhances and expands client relations with facilities and their staff.

    In states where permitted: document in charts using accepted medical terminology and format.

    Qualifications

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • Valid State Physical Therapist Assistant License/ Registration REQUIRED to start
    • Ability to work 32 hours per week with occasional late or early shifts to accommodate patients
    • Outpatient clinical rotation if current new grad
    • Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification required.
