Licensed Practical Nurse - Medical Management coordinates with healthcare providers and plan members to maximize member benefits while managing costs. Assesses medical necessity of patient admissions, surgical and diagnostic procedures, and other related services. Being a Licensed Practical Nurse - Medical Management conducts pre-certification or authorization, and monitors compliance with established medical guidelines and policies. May assist members in appeals for denied services. Additionally, Licensed Practical Nurse - Medical Management requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a registered nurse or supervisor. Riverview Regional Medical Center is looking for an exceptional full time, night shift Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Medical Surgical team. Our Med Surg LPN duties include, but are not limited to:- provide direct and indirect patient care services which requires technical and manual skills, within the scope of practice, that meet the psychosocial, physical and general aspects of care
- meets the communication needs of the patient and family
- performs under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse
Education and Work Experience- current and valid Alabama state license as a Licensed Practical Nurse
- current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current
- IV certification within 30 days
