Licensed Practical Nurse - Medical Management jobs in Vermont
Licensed Practical Nurse - Medical Management coordinates with healthcare providers and plan members to maximize member benefits while managing costs. Assesses medical necessity of patient admissions, surgical and diagnostic procedures, and other related services. Being a Licensed Practical Nurse - Medical Management conducts pre-certification or authorization, and monitors compliance with established medical guidelines and policies. May assist members in appeals for denied services. Additionally, Licensed Practical Nurse - Medical Management requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a registered nurse or supervisor. Requires graduation from approved LPN educational program. Requires a state license to practice. Licensed Practical Nurse - Medical Management's years of experience requirement may be unspecified. The Emergency Department Licensed Practical Nurse will utilize the emergency department nursing process by assisting the ED Registered Professional Nurse in providing individualized patient care. The Emergency Department LPN must exhibit a high level of expertise in the practice of emergency nursing care.
Minimum Education
- High School graduate or equivalent.
- Graduate of an approved School of Practical Nursing.
Minimum Work Experience
- Three to five years of Emergency Department LPN experience.
- Demonstrated proficiency in acute care nursing, knowledge and skills.
Required Licenses/Certifications
- Licensed or eligible for in the State of Vermont, or as stated in Title 25, V.S.A., Chapter 27, #1555.
- BLS Certification through American Heart Association.
Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities
- Able to institute life-saving measures.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills are required and the ability to interact with a variety of customers groups.
- Demonstrated moderate knowledge of basic computer skills.
Pay Range = $21.30 - $31.49
