Great opportunity for a long term contract in the NYC area. Looking for candidates experienced with Royalty accounting coming from the entertainment industry.

Duration: 12months with possible extensions, no end date

Rate: $34.77/hr

Location: NYC, 10036 (hybrid, 2 days on site)

Requirements:

• 3-5 years of relevant global licensing industry work experience
• Experience in operations finance, accounting, and operations management preferred
• Knowledge of general accounting principles, strong excel skills
• B.A., B.S. in Business or Finance

Responsibilities:

• This is a hybrid type role: part cash collections and part dealing with consumer product royalties(music/publishing/media)
• Royalty Compliance
• Review contracts for financial terms and compare to royalty statements, checking for compliance
• Tracing financials through a contract’s life cycle to identify and resolve discrepancies
• Advise internal teams how to correct entry errors that prevent statement processing
• Advise licensees how to resubmit statements that cannot be processed due to errors
• Troubleshoot access issues when licensees are not able to access our system
• Troubleshoot inquiries from Finance and offshore royalty reporting teams
• Complete ad hoc special projects and provide reporting for management as needed
• Cash Collections/Compliance
• Reach out to licensees (customers) to collect/resolve open AR balances and royalty compliance issues
