Litigation Manager jobs in Washington
Litigation Manager provides guidance and advice to a staff of paralegals or legal assistants involved in prosecuting or defending lawsuits. Monitors timelines and work progress to ensure work is completed on time. Being a Litigation Manager conducts new hire and ongoing training sessions. Requires a thorough knowledge of the organization's products/services. Additionally, Litigation Manager requires a bachelor's/master's degree. Typically reports to the top legal executive/general counsel. The Litigation Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Extensive knowledge of department processes. Qualifications:
- 1-3 years of experience as a Legal Assistant in a law firm.
- Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, and establish effective working relationships throughout operational groups.
- Strong command of the English language including excellent spelling, grammar, punctuation, form, and style.
- Excellent organizational and calendaring management skills.
- Ability to compose correspondence.
Key Responsibilities:
· Fielding phone calls and screening potential clients to determine the appropriateness of our office to handle their claims.
- Corresponding with clients and potential clients.
- Conducting potential client intakes.
- Performing conflict checks.
- Assisting with the preparation of exhibits.
- Opening and closing case files.
Other Tasks as Abilities Allow:
· Conducting case law research.
- Drafting demand letters and other client correspondence.
- Assisting in the drafting of pleadings.
