Job Overview

Responsibilities:

• Underwrite & process files for the NEK Home Repair loan/grant program.
• Lead in the preparation, presentation, and documentation of the activities of the Loan Review Committee.
• Ensure compliance with applicable lending responsibilities.
• Track loan funds and maintain loan/grant files.
• Manage loan servicing activities and mortgage tax forms.
• Maintain & update policies and procedures according to funding requirements.
• Coordinate payments to 3rd party vendors for the Home Repair Program.
• Provide accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting to all funding sources.
• Must be able to participate in additional certifications and training specific to job requirements.
• Assist in marketing and promotion activities related to the HOC and RuralEdge.
• Participate in assigned activities in support of RuralEdge and HOC mission and goals.
• Other duties as required.

Qualifications:

• Direct experience in mortgage or consumer lending; Mortgage Loan Origination License preferred but not required.
• Must be able to attain a Mortgage Originator License within 90 days of hire.
• Working knowledge of lending practices and procedures.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and detailed work habits.
• Computer knowledge and comfort, including Microsoft Office, Outlook and Database Software. Ability to learn additional software as required.
• Must have a sense of humor.
• Available for occasional nights and weekends.
• Able to travel outside Vermont for training opportunities as required.
• Travel to other office locations as needed.
• Ability to travel for job performance; possession of a valid driver’s license, a good driving record, and automobile insurance per State of Vermont.
