Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Locomotive Engineer/Conductor to join our team in Candor, NC. As a vital member of our operations, you will be responsible for safely operating locomotives and coordinating the movement of freight trains along our network.

Responsibilities:

• Operate locomotives in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to all company and regulatory guidelines.
• Conduct pre-departure inspections of locomotives and equipment to ensure they meet safety standards.
• Monitor train movements, track conditions, and signals to ensure safe operation.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers, crew members, and other personnel to coordinate train movements.
• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on locomotives as needed.
• Comply with all safety procedures and regulations to minimize risks and prevent accidents.
• Complete required documentation accurately and promptly.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid certification as a locomotive engineer or conductor.
• Strong understanding of railroad operations, safety protocols, and regulations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Flexibility to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Must pass pre-employment background check and drug screening.
