Logistics Manager manages all aspects of an organization's logistics management function to control, deliver, and distribute products and materials to the destination. Implements an overall strategy, metrics, and processes to deploy an optimized logistic network and operations. Being a Logistics Manager oversees critical and related inventory, distribution, and transportation operations that support the achievement of organizational goals and KPI's for product delivery and customer satisfaction. Selects vendors and negotiates rates and service levels and monitors performance. Additionally, Logistics Manager ensures compliance with all regulations governing transportation of goods. Utilizes analytics to monitor and measure performance, identify problems in operations, and achieve high performance at optimal cost. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Logistics Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Logistics Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required. **Job Summary:**
We are seeking a detail-oriented Logistics and parts coordinator to join our team. This person will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating various aspects of logistics operations to ensure efficient shipping and receiving of equipment as well as parts shipping and receiving and inventory management.
**Responsibilities:**
- Manage inventory control processes to optimize stock levels
- Coordinate materials management activities to support production schedules
- Analyze logistics data to improve processes and reduce costs
- Procure transportation services and negotiate contracts with carriers
- Oversee vendor management activities to maintain strong supplier relationships
- Coordinate freight shipments and monitor dispatching activities
- Manage supplier relationships to ensure timely delivery of materials
**Qualifications:**
- Proven experience in logistics, inventory control, or related field
- Strong understanding of transportation planning and logistics operations
- Proficiency with Quickbooks software
- Excellent vendor management and negotiation skills
- Knowledge of freight forwarding processes and dispatching procedures
- Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions to optimize logistics operations
