Machine Operator Supervisor supervises and coordinates the work of employees who set up and operate machines. Prepares work schedules, assigns work, and oversees the work product. Being a Machine Operator Supervisor ensures machine function and output is according to specifications. Monitors and evaluates production records and reports findings to management. Additionally, Machine Operator Supervisor requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Typically reports to a manager. May require certain certifications in field. Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate CNC machines to perform precision machining operations
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications to determine machining operations
- Program CNC machines using G-code or other programming languages
- Monitor machine operations to ensure quality and efficiency
- Inspect finished products for accuracy and quality using calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments
- Perform routine maintenance on machines to ensure proper functioning
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with CNC machines as they arise
Qualifications:
- Previous experience operating CNC machines is required
- Proficiency in blueprint reading and interpreting engineering drawings
- Strong knowledge of machining processes and techniques
- Ability to program CNC machines using G-code or other programming languages
- Familiarity with a variety of hand tools and measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges
- Mechanical aptitude and understanding of machine operations
- Forklift certification is a plus
Must be dependable and reliable.
Must be an experienced CNC operator.
