Machine Tool Cutting Operator/Tender jobs in Georgia

As a Manufacturing Laser Operator, you will. be responsible for operating the laser cutting machines for a variety of manufacturing needs and carrying out the daily tasks assigned by the supervisor.

This operator can successfully setup and operate the machinery from beginner to intermediate setups.

Works closely with supervisor and production planning on the full scope of projects moving through the department.

Operator is flexible and adaptable to assignment changes and will jump in and help when needed.

Ensures a safe and efficient operation of the machine and conducts quality control checks on the first part and throughout the production run.

Additional Responsibilities Will Include

• Sets up and operates equipment to cut parts of sheet metal according to blueprints or product specifications.
• Reads prints, work orders, or production schedules to determine specifications, such as quantity, dimensions, and/or tolerances.
• Performs periodic checks on output; measures completed parts to verify conformance to specifications.
• Uses measuring instruments at 100% accuracy.
• Maintains high level of productivity and produces quality parts.
• Identifies equipment, production, and/or parts issues; troubleshoots issues with management and appropriate personnel.
• Performs preventative maintenance tasks to maintain equipment performance and prevent machine downtime.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $20.52 - $24.71 per hour

Experience:

• Operate laser cutting machines: 3 years (Required)

• Conyers, GA 30012: Relocate before starting work (Required)
