We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Mail Clerk to join our team. The Mail Clerk will be responsible for processing incoming and outgoing mail, sorting and distributing packages, and ensuring timely delivery of mail to the appropriate recipients. The Mail Clerk will also be tasked with maintaining accurate records of mail and packages received and sent.
Responsibilities:
1. Sort incoming mail and packages and distribute to the appropriate departments or individuals.
2. Process outgoing mail, including preparing and affixing postage.
3. Maintain accurate records of all incoming and outgoing mail and packages.
4. Assist with special mailings and mass mailings as needed.
5. Operate postage meter machines and other mailroom equipment.
6. Monitor and replenish mailroom supplies as needed.
7. Provide excellent customer service to employees and external contacts who utilize the mail services.
8. Open Mail remove staples and sort/bundle
9. Unfold/un-crease, tape, rubber band, or un-staple documents
10. Process rejects and rescans
11. Fix tears and make copies of documents
12. Must be able to read and speak English
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to lift and move heavy packages.
