Maintenance Planner devises plans and programs for routine preventative maintenance and scheduled turnaround events at a plant or production facility. Accurately defines and estimates required work requests and maintains a consistent tracking system for work orders. Being a Maintenance Planner develops inspection and survey procedures to ensure an effective preventative maintenance system. Works closely with technicians, engineers, operations, and managers to establish a schedule of proactive maintenance activities during appropriate downtime. Additionally, Maintenance Planner utilizes planning and scheduling methods to ensure the most effective and least disruptive maintenance possible. Typically uses a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) for tracking and planning maintenance. Monitors spare parts inventory to ensure availability of required parts. Typically requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent. May require a Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP) certification. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Maintenance Planner work is generally independent and collaborative in nature. Contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project. Maintenance Planner for a Nationally Recognized Manufacturing Company
Location: Omaha, NE
Annual Salary: $80K-$120K
Shift: 1st (8am-5pm)
Schedule: Monday-Friday
Job Qualifications:
- 5 years of maintenance planning experience in a manufacturing environment (candidates must have been in a Planner, Supervisor, or Manager role previously)
- Must have CMMS experience with programs such as Oracle, IBM, Maximo, MP2, etc.
- Previous experience as a Lead or Supervisor is a plus
- Experience with project planning and managing parts inventory
- Knowledge and/or hands on experience in industrial maintenance, tool and die, preventative/predictive maintenance systems, and procedures in manufacturing
- Continuous improvement, green/black belt, Six Sigma, and Kaizen exp. are all a plus
- Steel industry background is a plus
- Relevant degree is a plus
- Open to relocation
