Being a Mammography Technologist creates and maintains patient records and files according to required procedure. Cleans and adjusts equipment as needed. Additionally, Mammography Technologist requires an associate degree or completion of a formal radiologic technology training program. Typically reports to a chief technologist or manager. Pride Health is hiring for a contract Mammography Technologist to support our client's healthcare organization in Plymouth, MN! This is a 13-weeks contract opportunity, with a possible extension.
Schedule: Monday to Friday (07:30 am - 04:00 pm OR 8:00 am or 4:30 pm)
Job Summary:
The Mammographer is responsible for quality and efficient completion of radiologic procedures for diagnostic interpretation. They are responsible for providing patient education, quality patient care, and meeting all regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities:
• Performs procedures accurately. Applies critical thinking skills appropriately. Recognizes emergent situations and responds appropriately.
• Maintains accurate customer medical records. Ensures confidentiality of all medical records.
• Utilizes Imaging and hospital computer systems correctly.
• Interacts with physicians, co-workers, customers, and families in professional manner.
• Has access to medications appropriate to their job duties.
• Accepts other duties as assigned to promote the accomplishment of organizational goals.
• The team member is accountable to demonstrate proficiency for the skills outlined in the appropriate position skills list.
• The team member is accountable to maintain skill proficiency, including improvement where deemed necessary, and upgrading any additional or new skills on the appropriate position skills list.
Required Education/Licensure/Certification:
• Must have two (2) of the following registries: ARRT registration in Radiology (R), Mammography (M), Sonography (S), ARDMS registration in Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) (or eligible for and obtain within one (1) year of hire date).
• State license required.
• Current BLS certification (or must be obtained within 90 days of hire.)
Experience:
• 1 years prior relevant experience in clinical area, preferred.
• Ability to learn and work with all electronic records including PACS and RIS/HIS.
Pay range - $2,728.80 weekly package| Negotiable for the right experience
