We are seeking a detail-oriented Managed Care Assistant to join our Long-Term Care Division. In this role, you will play a vital part in managing of medical records for our extensive network of facilities. The ideal candidate will possess a thorough understanding of our practices, exceptional organizational abilities, and the capacity to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
**Responsibilities:**
- Review and assist with information for residents across multiple long-term care facilities
- Verify insurance coverage and benefits for residents
-Compile data and analysis for facilities
- Collaborate with facility staff to ensure accurate documentation for billing purposes
- Communicate with insurance companies to resolve billing discrepancies and inquiries
**Requirements:**
- High school diploma or equivalent;
- Proficiency in billing software and electronic health records systems specific to long-term care
- Strong knowledge of medical billing codes relevant to long-term care services (CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS)
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage large volumes of billing data
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with facility staff and insurance providers
- Familiarity with managed care contracts and reimbursement methodologies in long-term care
