Responsibilities:
- Assist attorneys and paralegals in preparing legal documents
- Organize and maintain legal files and documents
- Gather relevant information for cases
- Schedule appointments and manage attorney calendars
- Answer phone calls and take messages with proper phone etiquette
- Prepare correspondence and draft emails on behalf of attorneys and paralegals
- File documents with the court or other relevant agencies
- Assist with data entry tasks as needed
- Utilize document management systems to store and retrieve files
Requirements:
- 2 years of proven experience as a legal assistant or in a similar role in a personal injury law firm
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite and other relevant software applications
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with legal terminology and procedures
- Knowledge of document management systems is preferred
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
