Principle Tasks

• Oversee the design and implementation of manufacturing systems, processes and equipment for manufacturing catalysts and catalyst supports and identify ways to optimize performance and to ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations
• Demonstrate and utilize knowledge and understanding of chemical processes
• Drive towards consistent and repeatable product delivery; prioritize production of high quality, on time materials
• Supervise teams including hiring and training qualified engineers and technical staff
• Monitor and analyze data from processes and generate production progress reports to make recommendations to upper management on delivery and cost reduction; lobby for additional resources and improvement projects
• Track various budgets, employees, and schedules simultaneously and manage the resolution of project/process delays.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
• Manage the transition of new products to manufacturing
• Coordinate with contractors and suppliers

Edu/ Training/ Exp Required

• Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, material science or related field from an accredited college or university
• 10 years of post-graduate experience in a manufacturing environment, with materials manufacturing being a strong plus
• Must have knowledge and mastery of chemical manufacturing unit operations and processes typical for catalysts and/or catalyst supports, including high temperature furnaces, mixers, mills, and filtration.
• Set project budgets and timelines for completion of projects
• Direct teams that design and implement systems, processes, and equipment procedures for manufacturing
• Monitor expenditures and allocate resources efficiently
• Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with a variety of stakeholders, upper management, and end users
• Strong organizational, analytical, troubleshooting, and complex problem-solving skills
• Chemical Safety and Regulatory requirements and a strong adherent to safety best practices
• Must be a Citizen or Permanent Resident of the US

Additional Information/Requirements

Must be willing to relocate to and work onsite in Albuquerque, NM.
