Tig/Aluminum Welder

• Summary: SBI Manufacturing are seeking a skilled Aluminum Welder proficient in both TIG and MIG welding techniques to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in welding aluminum, with the ability to produce high-quality welds in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Attention to detail, precision, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team are essential for success in this role.

• REQUIREMENTS
  1. Proven experience as an Aluminum Welder, with proficiency in both TIG and MIG welding techniques.
  2. Strong knowledge of aluminum welding processes, including metallurgy, heat management, and joint preparation.
  3. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and welding symbols.
  4. Excellent hand-eye coordination and attention to detail to produce high-quality welds consistently.
  5. Experience working with a variety of welding equipment and tools, including TIG and MIG welders, grinders, and clamps.
  6. Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with team members and other departments.
  7. Physical stamina and dexterity to perform welding tasks for extended periods and in various positions.
  8. Certification in TIG and MIG welding techniques preferred but not required. Willingness to obtain relevant certifications if not already possessed.

• WORKING CONDITONS
  1. Working conditions for a Welder involve being in an environment with excessive noise, welding gases, fumes, and heat.

• DUTIES AND TASKS
  1. Perform TIG and MIG welding operations on aluminum components according to engineering drawings, specifications, and welding procedures.
  2. Set up welding equipment, including selecting appropriate welding tools, gas flow rates, and wire feed settings.
  3. Inspect welds to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications, making adjustments as needed to achieve desired results.
  4. Maintain a clean and organized work area, including proper storage and handling of welding materials and equipment.
  5. Collaborate with engineers and production staff to resolve any welding-related issues and optimize production processes.
  6. Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues.
  7. Perform routine maintenance on welding equipment to ensure proper functionality and prevent breakdowns.
  8. Keep accurate records of welding activities, including materials used, time spent on tasks, and any issues encountered during the welding process.
