    Summary/Function:

    Ensure client accounts using margin remain within regulatory and firm requirements, including calculating margin requirements, as needed. Participate in the bookkeeping and daily activities of the department to contribute to efficient and effective business operations. Compile financial data to determine customer margin (equity) in stock purchased.
    Experience and Skills:

    Qualifications:
    • High school diploma and three years related experience
    • Accuracy, organization, attention to detail
    • Ability to communicate with branch offices, both verbally and in writing
    • Ability to work both independently and as a member of a team
    • Computer proficiency: knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams
    • Good follow up skills
    • Flexibility with a willingness to learn the duties of the department and handle any task given
    • Customer service experience helpful
    • Leadership skills
    • Ability and willingness to follow policies and procedures
    • Commitment to maintain client confidentiality and data security
    • Communicate in a clear and service-oriented manner; use appropriate, professional language and grammar to effectively exchange ideas and information
    • Ability to proactively work with both external and internal clients; relate with others in a professional manner to accomplish work responsibilities and objectives
    • Ability to maintain regular, reliable, in-person attendance on the job is a necessary and essential function
    Duties:
    • Function as the lead member of the margin department.
    • Assist manager in training and professional development of margin department associates.
    • Supervise the daily functions of the margin department, notifying the manager of any concerns.
    • Work with manager to ensure the workload of the department is balanced.
    • Set a positive example and serve as a role model for other members of the margin department.
    • Review various reports to identify accounts which are outside regulatory or firm requirements, and ensure appropriate actions are taken.
    • Assist Margin Clerks and Margin Cashiers with questions and/or requests which they are unable to answer or that require an exception for approval.
    • Process charges/credits for trade corrections.
    • Assist manager with creating regulatory reports.
    • Perform other duties and projects as needed/assigned.
